Karen Kelly, BSc (Hons) Chinese Medicine
Karen graduated with a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture from Westminster University and is registered with the profession’s regulatory body, the British Acupuncture Council.
She is dedicated to enabling everyone in our community to achieve their best health and have a greater sense of control over their physical and mental wellbeing.
Karen is passionate about the benefits of acupuncture as a whole systems medicine; she uses manual therapy, acupuncture and dietary recommendations as part of her Chinese medicine treatment approach. Karen is also a firm advocate of integrative medicine and welcomes collaboration between different healthcare approaches.
Chinese medicine views illness and pain as an imbalance in our body’s energy, or qi. Acupuncture aims to rebalance the qi by inserting very fine, sterile single use needles into specific acupuncture points.
Treatments are patient-centred and evidence-based. Continual professional development and training ensure that Karen remains up to date with current research and new techniques, allowing her to provide the best level of care for each of her clients.
