Oliver Thomson MSc, BSc(Hons), D.O, N.D
Registered Osteopath and Clinic Director
Together with Sarah, Oliver is one of the Directors of BodyMatters Clinic and oversees the health side of the practice.
He graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London and is registered with the profession’s regulatory body, the General Osteopathic Council.
Having a background in sports injuries, Oliver completed a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University College. As well as treating patients, Oliver is a Senior Lecturer in Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes University, and has taught osteopathic students throughout the UK and Scandinavia.
Oliver is currently undertaking a PhD at the Research Centre for Health Professions at the University of Brighton. He is exploring how osteopaths make decisions in their day-to-day practice, and he aims to complete this by 2012. In addition, Oliver has authored several papers that have been published in peer-reviewed research journals. He is also a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies and The International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine, allowing him to keep up to date with the most recent research in osteopathy and manual therapy.
