Lucy Georgiou M.Ost D.O. N.D
Registered Osteopath
Lucy is a keen sports person; in particular her passion is Gymnastics and Ballet. It was through these that she became interested in the way in which the human body moved and it was through a string of her own sports injuries she was introduced to osteopathy.
Lucy graduated with a Masters in Osteopathic Medicine and a diploma in Naturopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, achieving a distinction in the final exam.
She is also a gymnastics teacher and has previously worked as a sports and pregnancy massage therapist which has enabled her to understand the mechanics of the body and mechanisms of injuries both in and out of sports settings and amongst all ages.
The knowledge that she gained from her own experiences as a musician and sportsperson has built a strong awareness of how postural and visceral compensations can present as a result of occupational stresses and she uses this knowledge to tailor her treatments to each individual patient.
