Janet Thomsen BSc, D.Pod, M MCh.S
HPC Registered Podiatrist
Janet Thomsen graduated from the Chelsea School of Podiatry in 1990 as a member of the Society of Chiropodist and with a diploma in Podiatric Medicine. Subsequently she has also obtained a Bachelor of Science in this subject from the University Of Westminster.
She has worked for the NHS for the last 21 years, both in community health centres working closely alongside G.P’S and practice nurses. Janet has also worked in hospital podiatry departments including the Royal Free and Middlesex hospital, specialising in diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis.
Janet has taken two career breaks: - once to be the podiatrist on a P & O luxury cruise liner, and once to be one of a small team of podiatrists in the Shetland Islands. She has also worked in the private sector in other independent clinics.
Janet started practising at BodyMatters Clinic in 2008. As a result of this extensive and wide ranging experience, Janet is well qualified to assess, advice and treat a wide range of foot problems.
